We spent two days walking round Venice, following some walk leaflets, and we saw the Historic Regatta. There is so much to see and it is often difficult to take photos as alleys are narrow, and if you are by a canal – don’t step backwards!

When you come out of the Santa Lucia railway station (built on the site of the Santa Lucia Convent), this is the view:
