The Dutch Garden

It is unusual to see lemon trees in England

The Edwardian formal garden had lots of gladioli

The 16th century house was altered and enlarged in the 18th and 19th centuries. It was used by the army in WW2 and then passed to the Council, and became the fire service HQ and call centre for Somerset until 2012. The house is unfurnished but does have some grand ceilings

 

The Georgian landscape garden has lakes and follies

The gardens are lovely.
