Selsley to Woodchester

We started at the 17th century Bell Inn at Selsley and walked down the side of it, along an ancient track to North Woodchester

To The Priory at North Woodchester, where a Roman Pavement lies under the graveyard
Clothier’s House at Southfield Mill. The original house on the left was built about 1600 and the yellow wing was added about 1690

Woodchester to Selsley
18th September 2020 4.3 miles Map of walk
Starting at the A46 near Frogmarsh, we walked to South Woodchester then North Woodchester, up to the edge of Selsley Common and back down through the Woodchester Valley Vineyard and Convent Lane.

We followed a walk in Stroud Brewery’s ‘Little Cotswold Walks’ booklet
We parked in the lay-by on the A46 by the cycle track, then walked to North Woodchester, up the hill then south on the old road to Nailsworth, and back along the cycle track.
