30th June 2024 – A day trip to Delft by train from Gouda
At Delft there was a ceramic market by the huge city hall, merchants’ houses and warehouses by canals.
A moat was made around the city in 1300

The “new” church was started in the late 1300s, tower rebuilt 1875
City Hall, built in the 17th century around a 13th century tower. There was a ceramic market in the huge market place.
The Eastern Gate c. 1400, with spires 1510. The only city gate remaining in Delft.
