Although not an official mountain it has mountain-like terrain. Much of the mountain was quarried for stone to build the huge breakwater that is 1.5 miles long, built 1846 to 1875.
There are old industrial sites, coast walks, sea views and ferries to Ireland.

This was built for the contractor building the breakwater, but is now a burnt out hotel
On the way back we stopped at Trearddur Bay
